Who is the Café Course suitable for?
The Café Course is aimed at anyone who wants to regularly use, consolidate, and further develop their German language skills. It is particularly suitable for working professionals, students, and former intensive course participants who want to stay on track long-term, even with limited time.
What is the difference between an intensive course and a Café Course?
The intensive course systematically covers a complete language level and follows a textbook. The Café Course is communication-oriented and topic-based. The focus is on active speaking, a variety of topics, and the practical use of German in everyday situations.
How often does the Café Course take place?
The Café Course lasts four weeks and takes place twice a week. Each session lasts 90 minutes (2 lessons), for a total of 16 lessons.
Which language levels are offered?
The Café Courses are offered at three different language levels:
A1
A2–B1
B2–C1
This allows all participants to learn in a group that matches their language level.
Do I need to have attended an intensive course before?
No. The Café Course can be attended independently of an Intensive Course. The only requirement is that your current language level matches the respective course group.
What topics are covered in the Café Course?
Each course period focuses on a different topic. Depending on the language level, we may explore topics such as everyday life, work, culture, travel, or current social issues. This means you can attend the Café Course multiple times without repeating the same content.
When do the Café Courses take place?
The Café Courses are regularly offered during the second half of our Intensive Course periods. Their availability depends on classroom availability, available teachers, and demand.
How many participants are in a group?
The Café Courses take place in small groups of 3 to a maximum of 8 participants. This leaves enough time for active communication and individual support.
Can I attend the Café Course more than once?
Yes. Since each course period focuses on a new topic, you can attend the Café Course as often as you like and continuously develop your German skills.
Will I receive a certificate of participation?
Yes. Upon successful completion, you can receive a certificate of attendance for the Café Course you attended upon request.
Is the Café Course also suitable for working professionals?
Yes. The Café Course was specifically designed for people who want to regularly use and develop their German skills alongside work, studies, or other commitments. With two lessons per week, the course can be easily integrated into everyday life.
