Our Standard Course is clearly structured and supports continuous progress in a motivating group environment.

Course volume: 20 lessons (UE) per week (4 UE per day)

Language levels: A1 to C1 (Choose your preferred language level)

In the Standard Course, you will develop all the essential language skills you need for everyday life, work, and studies at your respective language level.
Our classes are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (GER) and combine grammar, vocabulary, and communication in practical, real-life situations.

Listening – understand conversations and audio content
Reading – understand texts and extract information
Writing – write emails, messages, and texts
Grammar & Vocabulary – systematically expand your language structures
Exam Preparation – preparation for telc and Goethe exams

Which language levels does DeutschCafé offer?
We offer group courses for language levels A1 to C1. Before the course begins, we will support you in finding the right course for your current language level.
If you already have a certificate or other proof of your current language level, you will automatically be admitted to the next higher course level. If you do not have suitable proof, you can determine your language level through a placement test.
How large are the groups?
Our group courses take place in small, international learning groups. Depending on the number of registrations, each group consists of 3 to 8 participants.
Small groups allow us to respond individually to each participant and provide enough time for personal support and active communication during lessons.
How long does a group course last?
One course period lasts 8 weeks and includes 20 lessons (UE) per week. Classes take place Monday to Friday.
There are no classes on public holidays. Any planned breaks will be announced well in advance so that you can adjust your schedule accordingly.
Can I book a Standard Course first and switch later?
Yes. You can switch from a Standard Course to a Learning Path or Complete Learning Path at any time. The course fee you have already paid will be fully credited.

What is the difference between the Standard Course, Learning Path and Complete Learning Path?
The Standard Course includes one course period.
The Learning Path includes two consecutive course periods at a reduced package price.
The Complete Learning Path starts from three consecutive course periods and offers our biggest price advantage, as well as a long-term structured learning journey.
What teaching materials are used?
We work with the coursebooks Begegnungen and Erkundungen by Schubert Verlag and supplement the lessons with our own worksheets, digital materials, and communicative exercises.
Can I prepare for a telc or Goethe exam?
Yes. Our group courses cover all key language skills and are also suitable for preparing for telc and Goethe certificate exams.
What happens if I miss a lesson?
If you happen to miss a lesson, we will provide you with the most important lesson content and homework so that you can catch up independently. In some cases, such as illness or stays abroad, it may also be possible to participate in the lesson online.
